Bought a 2018 Mazda CX-5. Didn't want to do a review straight away, as I saw in a report that the car has been advertised at Longmans Motors for almost a year, so I wanted to go right over the car to make sure it was 100% ok. I have now had the car for just over 3 weeks. I know a bit about cars, but to be on the safe side, I had a friend's garage, "CM Repairs, Dartford", go right over the car as well. Now that I have had that all done, I can clearly say the car is in perfect condition. I am so happy with the car, it drives like a dream. I would definitely buy another car from Longmans Motors, hopefully in the middle of next year, when I have paid off my loan on this car and can get another car for my partner. The car had a 4-month MOT, so I asked for a year, and they did it without any problems on the MOT. It had some advisories: "Front and back Brake pads are wearing thin" As it's an advisory, I know I would have to change them later on "To me, that's just a thing you would expect on an 8-year car and thought nothing of it" But when my friend's garage went over it, they said it's got new brake pads all around. So I looked at the paperwork, and Longman's Motors had them replaced before I picked the car up, which I think is a very nice thing to do, and not even saying they did it shows they have pride in selling their cars :-)

I've been using this garage for servicing and repairs for some time, and they've always been extremely helpful "” they've even "rescued" me on more than one occasion! So, when it came to buying a car, it was the obvious choice to go back to them.

The whole buying process was smooth and stress-free. There was no pressure around extras or decisions, just honest advice and support. The car itself was fully prepared for me, complete with a fresh service and MOT, which gave me real peace of mind.

Bought a car without seeing it over the phone. Robbie did a live viewing with me via WhatsApp. Unlike a lot of car dealers these days Robbie was prepared to negotiate a mutually agreeable price and they stored the car for 2 weeks until I was able to travel down from Yorkshire to Pitsea. Robbie was kind enough to pick me up from the station and I then drove it 5 hours home without issue. Very pleased with the car!

From start to finish we could not have been happier with the whole experience. Saw the vehicle online, completed deal with a small deposit & car stored until we could travel as we were over 2 hours North. I posted a bow to them from Amazon which was made up without complaint, (sorry it was complicated) The Car was a surprise for our Son's 17th 1st car, both John & Robbie were exceptional with the Secret & even told our son the Car with the bow was sold & being picked up today, as it was the exact Car Spec he was after for years, and told him there was a KA outside he could show him Ha ha ! John then threw the keys over to him & said it's yours! We quickly signed paperwork, John even sorted our TAX.
What an amazing Customer Service we recieved & highly recommend Longmans Motors for anyone looking for a Vehicle.

I needed a car at short notice and visited Longmans Motors as it had just the one I wanted. I took it for a test drive on the Wednesday and paid a deposit. Robie said he would service and MOT the car, but it would take up to a week. I asked if it could be made available any sooner as we needed the car urgently. He called me that afternoon and told me it was ready! I picked it up the following day. So very pleased! If you want a friendly efficient service from a family run business look no further.

So where to start with this fantastic dealership, wide range of cars lots with low miles after enquiring about the car I was Interested in why such the little mileage? I phoned and spoke to Peter who gave me in depth knowledge as to why this could have been he was very helpful so I decided to book an appointment

With the current situation with COVID 19 I was hesitant but was very reassured by Peter that the dealership was COVID safe and I would feel comfortable and this lived up to everything Peter told me. The car was exactly what I wanted and as long as it was clean which it was I was sold on it.

Peter was very professional from the outset Robbie was very good too.

Highly recommended. They sell good quality used cars with in house warranties on all there cars

I have just bought a car from Longmans. A very easy and hassle free experience. The Seat Leon was good value and in excellent condition. No hard sales at all - you like the car or you don't seems the attitude, and its appreciated. Robie kindly picked me up and dropped me at the the station for my viewing, then picked me up again a week later when I came to collect, having serviced and MOTed the car. When I picked it up, it was sparkling clean inside and out.

Peter also helpfully explained how to retax the vehicle as it was classed disabled, and they directed me to the nearest post office. Really, it couldn't have been easier. First car I've bought since 2002 so I was a bit anxious. There was no need.

A strong recommendation from me.

I was helping my mum (who is old enough to remember when decent service was standard) find a replacement run-around car, after her previous one was deemed an insurance write-off.

With a modest checklist for something up to 10-years old, reasonably priced, in decent condition and not-too-high mileage, a lot of the local options of used-car dealers did end up reminding me of Arthur Daley!

But, a trip to Longman's Motors helped get rid of that negative impression.

From start to finish, the process was very professional, helpful and informative, with no hard-sell tricks at all.

Peter (Reck) helped explain everything to my Mum, so that she knew what to expect. He talked her through the process at each stage of looking, test-driving, chosing and paying. He also pointed out parts of their service that were available, but unlikely to be of benefit to her.

At the end, we got a decent little run-around car, that ticked all the wish-list boxes my mum asked for. And she drove away happy that she'd spent her money well, without feeling pressured into making a decision.

The pre-sale service, MOT and clean-up are all standard, but added to the overall impression that Longman's Motors is a place you can trust, take your time, ask lots of questions and know you'll get honest answers.

I was really impressed and would happily recommend Longman's to anyone. I wouldn't have done that with many others of the places we also checked out. I was also happy that I had an anxiety-free mother back on the road in a replacement car she really enjoys.

Looking at the other reviews, it's obvious that Longman's has a very good, and well-earned reputation shared by many, including some loyal, repeat customers.

Thank goodness there is a second hand car dealer you can trust! From the first call to Robbie the service from David and the follow up from Peter, they have really shown that good customer service does exist. I bought a lovely ford galaxy from them. The tires had a little bite out of one and the other side had less than desirable tread left. "I will get them sorted" David said. And he did. The radio code wasn't with the vehicle "we will sort that out" David said. Robbie then went down to the manufacturers dealership and waited for hours so that I didn't have to and the car would be ready for me to collect on time. "I will call you Monday when the code comes back from fords" said Peter. And he did. What else is there to know other than I am a very happy customer and wish all at longmans motors a very merry Christmas and a prosperous new year. Which if this is how they do Buisness I am sure it will be.
